It doesn’t care
It really amazes him how the universe knows how and when to put people in their place.
Apparently the universe agrees.
He bent down to pat a cute little dog in the neighborhood the other day and, yes, it peed on his leg.
It did not care about all the books he has. It couldn’t care less about his DVDs. It couldn’t give a hoot about his jeans, upon which it peed (a lot).
It did what it needed to do and in the process brought him down to earth…and gave him a huge laugh.
Colors of India
Pic source: Unknown (Came as a forward)
Still photographs that tell a story by itself; Indian women wearing traditional clothing…a whistling wind breaks the stillness, rustling trees sending dust..
Oh..the colors of India are brilliant!
Update: Dhanya has given a two line description for this pic!!
1. drenched in the giddy laal rang of holi
2. women whispering amidst a building sand storm on the desert but those are my inferences!
It’s free
I spent some time at a coffee shop this morning.
The coffee was expensive. The cup was expensive. The clothing worn by the majority of coffee sippers was expensive. The cars outside the coffee shop were expensive. The advocate who was talking to me was expensive. The petrol used to drive over to the coffee shop was expensive.
The funny thing was that the best part of my coffee shop experience this morning was absolutely free.
Yup, The most exhilarating, satisfying, aahhh-producing, euphoric, satisfying and certainly the most memorable part of my visit to the coffee shop cost me nothing.Yes, the best part of my day was the experience of sipping the lovely coffee while waiting for my appointment to arrive.
Yet again I learn that some of the most pleasurable and satisfying things in life are free and just waiting to be enjoyed.
When am I going to stop being totally surprised each time I discover that what I want is right in front of me, not somewhere else?
And what about right behind thing in my Sometimes ?
PS: Taken from my old blog.
Satisfactory way of Living
He says, “In the past, little things could be done with love, but big things required money. Now, big things can be done with love.”
Until recently, the radius and half-life of our affection has been limited? And is he right?
Sounds romantic!
You get to sit alone in a room all day until the words swim.
It’s lonely writing. You sit all by yourself in a room while other people in office buildings stand around the movie gossiping and spreading awful rumors like extra-marital affairs,infidelity..
You sit all alone in a room while people in cubicles discuss things like pay checks and insurance.
So, you spend hours alone writing. Then you spend hours looking at the words you have written and wonder what made you think that you could write in the first place. I mean, people are not chosen as writers. There’s no certification. There’s no test. They just decide themselves. I just decided. “Mmm,” I thought. “I’m going to be a writer. It sounds romantic.”
